On February 26, 2008 actress Mischa Barton was charged for an incident that took place in December of 2007. Her arrest was in West Hollywood, and yesterday charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana.
Misha Barton’s Attorney Anthony Salerno expressed that he was satisfied that only misdemeanor charges were filed by the District Attorney¢s office. He stated that the D.A.’s office carefully examined all of the evidence and decided to only file misdemeanor charges.
Anthony Salerno was quoted as saying “The D.A.¢s Office is to be commended for treating this case the same as it would any other matter; Ms. Barton has received no special treatment, and they have done the same diligent review that they do in every case.
