Wrongful Death Suit Filed in Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Case

According to reports the mother of one of the Metorlink 111 Chatsworth crash has filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The mother, Patricia Hammersley has filed a lawsuit on behalf of her son killed in the Metrolink crash Michael Hammersley. This follows other suites that have been filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, who are also listing Veolia Transportation Services Inc. in the suits. This is the company that supplied the engineer in control of the train at the time of the Chatsworth crash, along with Connex Railroad and the estate of Robert M. Sanchez.

Some of the other people who have filed suit for death of family members or injuries are John Freel of Camarillo, Eric Wellington of Moorepark, Phillip Thiele and Frank Kohler of Simi Valley. According to reports there have also been two other suits filed against the regional rail authority and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
